Duna Terasz is a large residential development near the Danube in a former industrial area.

During the second half of the last century a concrete factory operated a gravel mine on the Danube and as the result of this activity an artificial bay was created named FOKA (using the name of the factory.) After economic changes in the 1990s, the factory was closed and according to new urban planning regulations this industrial zone was later designated for residential developments.

Duna Terasz has a capacity over 2750 units. The development started in 2006 and the first stage was finished in 2009. Due to the economic crisis of 2008, the activity was stopped and the next stage was started only eight years later.

Actually ( March 2005), the construction of the 4th phase began the last (5th) stage design was finished and its construction will start in 2026 and according to planning schedules will be finished in 2028.

As the development is in a former industrial zone, the development concerns not only buildings, but also other works serving the development such as roads and public infrastructure: rain water drainage, sewage works, water supply, electricity, remote heating, common green areas around the bay etc.
